Kimwipes: Delicate Task, Lint-Free Buffing Tissues
These static-free, lint-free, exceedingly smooth tissues are commonly found around high-end microscopes where they’re used for cleaning delicate glass objectives, lenses, and fragile instrumentation. They quickly migrated to my modeling bench and have been my go-to for buffing canopies to clarity for many years.
Most importantly, Kimwipes dissipate static electricity when used thereby decreasing the normal charge that is imparted to any plastic surface subjected to repeated buffing. This translates into less dust and small debris sticking to the inside faces of canopies and/or windshields after they’re glued in place.
When used in conjunction with our Polyester and Microfiber Polishing Swabs and Novus Plastic Polish Number-2 and/or Number-3, clear plastic can be polished to complete clarity.
