If you live in the greater Denver area, I’m sure you’re familiar with Colpar’s HobbyTown with locations in both Lakewood and Aurora, CO.
I’ll be at the Aurora Colpar’s on Saturday, November 2nd for their annual Model Swap Meet. While there, I’ll be demonstrating fine-line airbrushing, talking modeling, and answering questions on painting and finishing scale models. There will also be a small selection of our paint measuring, mixing, and storage tools available for purchase.
On Sunday, November 3rd, through a collaboration with Colpar’s HobbyTown and IPMS Rob Wolf Denver Chapter, I’ll be presenting airbrushing tutorials at 12 and 3pm at the Aurora store. Both tutorials will include a slide presentation, hand-outs with painting tables, and a live airbrushing demonstration focused on shooting lines of 1mm or less with any acrylic model paint.
I’ll also cover more basic topics like methods for getting and keeping your airbrush clean and strategies for diluting and spraying acrylic paints, primers, and clear coats. There will also be a small selection of MPS paint tools available.
